Lights and Lace

I knew I wanted this dress when I saw it on the Neiman Marcus website two years ago, and when I found it on sale, in my size (1 left!) in Nordstrom, I couldn’t help but snatch it up. The great thing about this dress is it functions perfectly as both a winter and summer dress (though originally it was released in the winter). For someone like me, with a very small wardrobe, it’s essential that my items be transferable between seasons.

Sheer Lace

The skirt is a very full circle skirt (not gathered!) propped up by a cotton and lace petticoat underneath. Perfect for twirling.

You can see better details of the front in this old photograph! The bodice has boning and also a little bit of lace.

Here I’ve paired it with a little boy’s sweater (no idea where it came from…), some Betsey Johnson patterned tights, and my Target boots.

Love the lace with everything, esp the tights. Betsey Johnson has some very awesome pieces.
