Spring Festival at the Japanese Botanical Gardens
On Saturday, my boyfriend and I visited the Japanese gardens at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens for the annual Harumatsuri, or Spring Festival! The weather was perfect – sunny and cloudless, accented with a nice breeze! The flora was beautiful, and we had so much fun watching the martial arts and bamboo flute demonstrations!
The koi fish were MASSIVE! I’m assuming the visitors keep them well-fed.

And the giant Zen Garden:

As a girl who shares your love of all things weeaboo, this is AMAZING. I wish there were something like this in D.C.! Did you wear a yukata?

We are quite like-minded! <3 You guys have the Cherry Blossom festivals, right? Unfortunately we don’t have one of those here! I didn’t wear a yukata (I don’t own one, sadly) but this did inspire me to consider making one!
