I am about to start his other novel "Cloud Atlas". I have a very bad habit of sticking to one writers work for some time until I move on...other things on my list are classics: The Great Gatsby, Zooey & Franny, The Picture of Dorian Gray... And I agree with Murakami making you feel disconnected. His books somehow have the power to make you look at things differently. And I agree with Lynn. For me personally though, as someone who lives inside their own head most of the time anyway, I actually felt more in touch with his novels that I do with other writers.
