Free People Swiss Dot Slip

Last Friday, my Swiss Dot Slip arrived from Free People. It’s a bit too tight to wear by itself (I’ve been throwing a long grey cardigan over it) but I love it nonetheless. Sorry for the grainy photos – the lighting in my apartment will be terrible until all of the leaves fall off the trees surrounding my apartment.

I made a pact with myself a couple of weeks ago to buy no more black clothes until the end of this season. Of course I don’t predict keeping up with this, but I’ve done a good job adhering to my rule for the past couple of weeks, at least.

Tomorrow’s my boyfriend’s birthday, and in early celebration, he and I ate dinner at our new favorite local burger bar, Burger Extra!!!! No, those four exclamation points are not my lack of internet writing maturity – they are actually part of the name. As an art student (and webdesigner by trade), I would never venture into a restaurant whose signage was typed in a loud face and followed by FOUR exclamation points, but upon the recommendation of my friend I decided to set aside my biases and try it out.

Two burgers later, I’m certain that the four exclamation points are well-deserved. If you live in Denton and haven’t visited – do! It’s pretty affordable ($8 for a combo meal – and the burgers are HUGE!) and they have a very diverse selection of burgers. I’m sadly a pretty boring person when it comes to food, but my boyfriend loves the guacamole burger, and he can’t wait to try the pineapple one.

Did I mention the burgers are HUGE? I can’t finish one if I’ve ordered fries with it.

the black and white photo is AMAZING… you look gorgeous, dear! :) i actually really like the graininess, it adds something special.

i actually have a hair question for you since you’re a redhead, too, if you don’t mind? i’ve been getting my hair professionally coloured a much brighter red shade than my natural colour for years now (right now, it’s pretty close to the shade you have now)… but i’ve been thinking of doing it myself. the thing is, i know nothing about at-home hair dyes, and what the best ones are. since your shade is so close to mine, i was wondering – do you have any favourite brands? i really hope you don’t mind me asking, but i would so appreciate your suggestions! thanks, dear. :)

My goodness, your hair has already gotten SO long! It looks just like it used to before you cut and dyed it blonde. And it’s funny that you’re trying to stop buying black clothes…I’m trying to start! I want more blacks and greys in my wardrobe, I have too much color :)

Hahah I guess we are exactly opposite then!
Yeah, I can’t believe my hair has grown so fast! It’s not quite as long as it used to be (before it was down to my waist) but it’s pretty close. I need to get it trimmed, though!

That burger looks delicious!!!! Sometimes I get a burger craving, it’s not often, but when it comes I have to find the biggest juciest burger to satisfy it and those look perfect.

I’ve noticed that black has been taking over my wardrobe a lot lately and have imposed a no black ban on myself also known as no shopping til January, hopefully i can resist temptation till then.
