Obsessed with Bedroom Vanities

For the past few weeks I’ve been tirelessly scouring Craigslist for the perfect bedroom vanity. I actually considered myself incredibly lucky when I found one that met my specifications (after some work), was within my price range, and was located within my suburb, but of course chance would have it that someone snatched it up minutes before me. And yesterday, I found a wonderful contender at the Denton Antique Mall, but at $300 and in need of a paint/reupholstery job, I won’t be taking it home any time soon.

Although I’m open to the right vanity in any color, I’ve mostly been obsessed with white wooden vanities with lightweight legs but ample drawers/desk space to hold all of my toiletries. A matching stool is a plus.

And while I’m especially partial to antique, decorative woodwork, I’m starting to love the look of these more svelt, utilitarian vanities.

Those are some lovely photos, makes me day dream of the perfect vanity for me :) Unfortunately my “vanity” is just my computer desk, I use a hand held mirror compact and the nice glow from my dual monitors to apply my makeup :3

I love vanities like this, they are so pretty and a great way to decorate a room. I love the mirrored one set among all of the white curtains. Great picks!

These are so beautiful and I agree with you: I like the antique look better. I wonder if you could scout for separate pieces that would go good together (a separate mirror + desk) if you can’t find anything within your budget?

As an Austin-ite, I’m officially cautioning you about the impending lake traffic. Avoid the celebratory jet skiers if you’re going to be out on the lake! Also we pale-skinned red-headed girls need to basically marinate in SPF. Other than that, have fun!

I could torture myself looking through photos of pretty interiors for hours! Its such a buzzkill to know that I probably won’t have my own house to decorate for a few more years at least… boring! But hey, the earlier we get started on finding inspiration the better huh? :)

The use of white has really gained a huge following, and I am not surprised at all. The white color makes any room more spacious. You just have to know how to decorate.
