Jumpjack Twill classic coat by French Connection (view larger)
Made out of a thick wool herringbone, fully-lined, perfectly darted… I could go on about how absolutely beautiful this coat is. When French Connection offered to send me something from their fall collection, I couldn’t get my mind off of this coat. Its sleek, minimal silhouette reminded me of some similarly-cut Céline coats.
When the coat arrived, it was a bit large (unfortunately it was the smallest size available), but throwing a belt around the middle seemed to remedy the problem. I cannot wait for Texas temperatures to drop just a bit more so I can wear this to class. It is really so beautiful, easily my favorite wardrobe item for the upcoming season.

simply stunning.
maybe it’s just me, but i saw jessica chastain in the news the other day and something about her struck me as being familiar – it just came to me that you guys give off the same feel! ( in still pictures, at any rate)

Okay, I don’t usually do this because I know it’s probably annoying, but I want to request a hair tutorial on that style you’re rocking! It looks really pretty!
I think that coat looks really classy on you btw, have you paired it with the dress?

Thank you hon! The dress looks cute with the coat, but the dress badly needs to be hemmed (I’m so short!) before I can really wear them together (also, weather needs to get cooler).
And I will definitely post a hair tutorial for ya <3 It’s really easy to do! (And feel free to ask whenever! It’s not annoying at all~)

I LOVE this coat (but I am a little biased/a sucker for coats). I also love the fact that you are so awesome at blogging that people send you free stuff. Have you ever thought of blogging as a career? Do people do that? Can people do that?

Aw, you’re so cute! I love the jacket, it has a very cool menswear (in a good way) feel. The detailing especially, but maybe because it’s a little big? Either way it looks great!

I love this coat, it’s cut so beautifully and it looks lovely on you despite the sizing – I actually really like the effect the slight oversize has with the belt.

And belting it reminds me of that Prada (I think?) collection with the bow belts! It looks lovely.
