If you don’t hear from me for a while, it’s because I’ve been swept away in the undertow of homework, tests, and art projects. Luckily I have several paintings and drawings to share with you as soon as I have time to photograph and post them. Until then, I just wanted to stop in for a quick message, because I, like every other blogger, feel obligated to inform you that it is now THE BEST MONTH OF THE YEAR. Pumpkin spice lattes and homebaked desserts abound.
As for the book I’m reading above, it’s Balzac’s Lost Illusions. While Balzac does nothing to improve my general misanthropy, it’s a beautiful read.

I love how dreamy your photos are looking lately! I’ve never read Balzac, I’ve been reading so much trash lately I really need something with a bit more substance :P

You should check him out! So far, the only other novel of his that I’ve read is Père Goriot, which is so incredibly moving.

Love how soft and romantic the photos are here. You’re gorgeous! I totally understand what you mean about being flooded with school work that tonight is the first night this week where I’ve actually checked and read the blogs of others. Good luck with school!

HA. Best month ever? Please, in Belgium it’s all about psychotic weather, flu season and a SEVERE LACK OF PUMPKIN SPICED EVERYTHING :’(
On a different note, good luck with all the stuff school will be throwing at you! I’m sure you’ll fare amazingly well :) Courage, mon amie <3

I have a giant stack of de Balzac books to read. I’ve been meaning to get at them for the past year, but right now I’m obsessed with ‘Sophie’s Choice.” Are you reading it in the original French?
