Everlane

I’m all about basics, especially designer quality & cut tees in every variety – so when Annabel of Blushing Ambition posted about Everlane, I instantly fell in love. Few things sound better than Los Angeles-made pima cotton tees for $15. I have the v-neck and crew neck (below) in white, and I bought the men’s v-neck in muted black for my boyfriend. I’m obsessed!

I love good basics too, but do you really think the quality is there?

This seems a little like a more well designed, better marketed version of American Apparel. Maybe if they started doing things like silk blouses it’ll be different…but do you really notice a difference, marketing aside?

To start off with, they’re cheaper than American Apparel, and don’t have a CEO with a reputation for sexual exploitation of the workers and models – not to mention they *are* better designed, IMO. Also, the feel of the cotton is much softer, and it’s not a poly blend (which some aa shirts are). I don’t think AA has to monopolize the American-made basics market in the US!

Of course only time will tell with the durability, but most of my AA clothes have holes in them, so they don’t have much to live up to!

Signed up because I was so curious! But they don’t do international shipping and even if they introduce it evntually it’ll probably be so expensive!

They have great and simple stuff, though. Thanks for sharing :)

I’ve been looking into Everlane lately and am unsure about the sizing. I love the fit on you! What size is the shirt you’re wearing and did you find the fit true to size?
