Belle de jour

Dahlia dress

Two things about this Dahlia dress: 1) it has pockets and 2) I don’t have to wear a bra under it. What more could you ask for? My sister says it reminds her of Catherine Deneuve’s character in Belle de Jour, which is probably one of the reasons I was so drawn to it. When it arrived it was quite large (the smallest it runs is a UK 8) so I hemmed a few inches off the bottom because I am a woman with loose morals. I know I’m gonna be wearing this dress far into the fall season.

Oh, what a surprise! I was looking at that dress the other day on ASOS. It looks lovely on you, and only strengths my resolve to purchase it. :)

I love this dress! No bra needed? What else can you ask for really?

I wish I were able to go bra-less with anything… but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on whom you ask) the universe gifted me with a pair of pretty prominent ladies. Impossible. Ah well, maybe in the next lifetime.

So beautiful, Catherine! I have a dress similar to this, but the embellishment on the collar won me over. I love the way it falls on you and I would never guess that it was too big!

That’ right, it does remind me of Catherine Deneuve.

This dress is super cute and definitely the sort of piece you could get loads of wear out of. Love that you chopped off the hem and made it shorter – I would have done exactly the same thing. xx
