My twin sister was such a good sport throughout this shoot – never once complaining when I glued Lana Del Rey nails on her hands, clipped toddler jewelry on her head, and smeared pounds of makeup on her face. I can’t believe I get to call this homework!
For my latest project, I’m continuing an exploration of femininity, but this time through a more humorous, unapologetic consumerist lens. Shooting these in the super overcast weather that we had this weekend was quite a hassle, and a reminder that I’m in terrible need of a camera upgrade. Other disappointments included discovering that ring pops are the most disgusting candy ever (nowhere near as good as I remember) and that the board game Pretty Pretty Princess apparently no longer exists (or is, at least, impossible to find). Now here’s to hoping that these look half as nice in print as they do on my screen!
Hopefully I’ll have a proper outfit post soon, but until then, enjoy this preview of what I’ve been up to lately!

Aww, these are fun. I like the sparkles. Disappointing about the Ring Pops but you can never go back…
