Plaid Texan Dress

My sister’s in Las Vegas with my parents right now. It didn’t bother me at all that they were going without me, until I learned that they were stopping in the Grand Canyon, and when I remembered that Vegas had an In-N-Out Burger. I am a sucker when it comes to this made-to-order food establishment; I lived on it for a good six months during my otherwise unpleasant stint in LA. I haven’t had it for well over a year and I do get random cravings! It’s really bad, probably.

Anyway, the point of all of this is my sister took her camera with her, so I wasn’t able to redo these pictures. You may also notice that I have a much darker hair color now (to my displeasure)!

This Anthropologie dress was given to me by my boyfriend for Christmas!! It wasn’t until I wore it at home for the first time that I realized just how Texan it was. I’m trying to embrace it!

Orla Kiely dress

I’ve been really busy lately with some art projects! When I’m less lately I’ll upload photos, but for now, here’s a really brief post featuring my favorite (did I call my tricolor dress my favorite? Because this one is also) dress by Orla Kiely. Typically I’m not a fan of patterns, or floral/nature prints for that matter, but I particularly love this dress. The cardigan is also from Anthropologie (a gift from my mom for Christmas last year), and the belt is vintage.

I promise to take better pictures of my clothes/make more meaningful posts once this week is over – I just have several tests (though now that my THREE WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS are finished and turned in the rest should be a breeze).

Brand new blog

Welcome to my fourth blog since I began blogging (nine years ago) – generally I can’t remain committed to one place or name, and always end up crawling back to my livejournal after a year or so. This time, I’m determined to turn this one into a more successful project.

Although this is not a fashion blog (strictly, anyway), I’m going to start off with a fashion post! Below is the outfit I wore to my boyfriend’s birthday dinner.

elevenses

This gray wool dress from Anthropologie by Elevenses is one of my favorites; I’ve had it for years, and because of its warm outer layer, soft lining, and adorable buttons, I’ve never grown tired of it. Typically I pair it with a turtleneck, but this time I opted for a peterpan-collared shirt I scored from H&M years ago.
