Last Monday, my Topshop dress arrived! As soon as I tried it on, I called Michael Lalley and told him that we had to go out this week so I could wear it, and apologized for my dorkiness. His response? “Girl, you’re talking to me! My topman package came yesterday and I wanna go out too!!!!” Destined or what?

The dress is incredibly slinky and sheer, so going braless is, for the purpose of decency, impossible. I hate strapless bras (and even having worked in lingerie, have never managed to find the perfect one), so I made a trip to my local Victoria’s Secret in search of a solution, and came across these gel petals. Although a bit pricey at $25, you receive 2 pairs, each one with approximately 15 uses. I also got a free gift card for at least $10, so it justified my spending. For those curious in the quality, I found them extremely comfortable. I’m a solid A-cup, so I don’t require much support, and would guess that anyone up to a C would find these comfortable as well. I highly recommend them if you’re willing to spend the money. They don’t add volume (they’re just nipple pasties), but they do add a smooth shape.

For my shoes, I ganked my sister’s Miu Miu booties, which suited the dress perfectly!

I wore my hair down and wavy last night, but of course woke up looking like hell this morning, so put it in a low bun for pictures. Ignore my morning-after face, please!

I’m so sad that winter vacation is basically over; I am simply not ready to return to school. I’ve had way too many awesome, late nights playing old video games and I don’t want to trade that for all-nighters doing art projects!

My sister finally returned from Vegas with her beloved Canon Digital Rebel. I’ve been waiting to try a bokeh heart filter on her new 50mm lens for a while now, so I grabbed my Miu Miu bag and started playing around. This one was my favorite, even though it’s hard to distinguish any details. Will have to practice with this technique more!

Now back to lunch (yes, cinnamon rolls for lunch – don’t you love uni?)

My little sister knows me too well; for Christmas, she gave me this Unicorn vs. Narwhal battle set! I’d been pining over it at our local comic store (I love collecting “designer toys”) and she used her allowance to buy it for me. So sweet! She also got me the Unicorn Code tote bag that I’m sure will prove perfect for carrying my texts:

I can’t wait to add the Cold War Unicorns Play Set to my collection; it will make the best conversation piece for visitors, no?

I only wish it could fit my Moleskine planner, which I typically carry around to parties & outings for recording quotes. Looks like I have an excuse to get a pocket Moleskine, I guess!

I think this year has to be one of the best as far as loots go. I was gifted with a pink snuggie, a Unicorn vs. Narwhal battle set (can’t wait to post pictures), a Unicorn Code tote bag, a beautiful plaid Anthropologie dress, and most importantly, an iPhone (to replace my old, broken Sprint). I can’t wait to plaster this Deer Wearing Gym Socks decal on the back of it! But first – a protective case!

Most importantly, though, I bought myself the following (it arrived on Christmas Eve):

As you can probably agree, the most rewarding feeling is buying something that you have wanted for years with your own, hard-earned money. When this popped up on eBay at a very opportune time (I had just received a webdesign check AND made a 4.0 in university), I couldn’t pass it up. I have loved this Miu Miu collection — the aged vitello totes — for years, and I stupidly hesitated buying it when it was in stores. I’m glad I took the chance, because the leather is so supple, the hardware shiny, and most importantly, this little clutch is SO INCREDIBLY SPACIOUS.

This photo is probably the most representative of the color. As you can see, it has some intentional aging around the stitching, perfectly illuminated by the gold hardware. Ah! I’m in love. I adore how girly the color is, without being too “Barbie” (as it appeared in the photos).

My sister’s Miu Mius are here! More (better) photos later, but wow… I am in love! The patent leather and perfectly-sculpted stiletto make these so fierce, I seriously want to wield a sword when I wear them. Worn here with my white Wolford tights, which are a godsend in this cold weather.

Snow Treeson is also here! I’m quite a fiend when it comes to collecting these little guys. I’ve been in love with Treeson since the original one first came out (& I’m kicking myself for not buying him when he was $25! Now he’s on eBay for over $100). Snow Treeson’s one out of 600 in the world (and 1 out of 300 sold online). I also bought a limited edition Treeson tote to match my Treeson keychain! Obsessed? A little!

As you can see, Snow Treeson’s texture is different from the rest – he’s a little bit grayer than the other white babies, and a bit more gritty, or “snowy”. So cute!
