Wore this to my boyfriend’s show at Denton’s Simone Lounge last night: a 2007 See by Chloé, complete with pockets and a color scheme that is perfect for fall, and those edgy cross-strap Theysken’s Theory platforms that everyone seems to own. I’ve had these wedges about a month, but they are so high that I was nervous to wear them out. Even after a few drinks, though, I managed to walk in them just fine, and I didn’t tower over anyone too much.

This See by Chloé lbd is perhaps the most versatile piece of clothing I own – very easy to work with, very easy to dress up or down. Since it’s so hot here in Texas, I wanted to wear it super short, so I hiked it up and cinched it with a black ribbon I found in my craft box. You can see a closeup of the detailing on the top here.

About three years ago, I bought this one-strap See by Chloé dress for my boyfriend’s graduation. At the time it was the singlemost expensive thing I’d ever bought – I think at around $375? Anyway, you can bet that if I spend that much on a dress, I will figure out a way to wear it year round, even if it’s only intended for summer. Here I’ve twisted up the bottom and matched it with a Helmut Lang blazer, some jeans, and black booties.

I was so in love with this dress that I bought the last available size in all of Nordstrom – which happened to be 3 sizes too big! Because it’s so loose on me, I usually style it with a black sash.

My sister loved it so much that she snatched up the exact same dress when it cropped up on eBay! Copy cat!
